In the after math of Michael Jackson's shocking death most are drudging up the past about the problems he was supposed to have. Most are aware of his peculiar behavior and actions, but the thing that sticks out to me most was that he did something that was never done before. Now it is common place in the music industry to do outlandish videos. When Thriller came out as a short film it was cutting edge, people did not know what to think, critics was at a lost for words, but he decided to take a chance and go against the grain. That is the greatness of Michael; we can all learn a thing or two from Mr. Jackson. There always has to be a pioneer, there will always be a first. In the immortal words of Sam Walton "There is really nothing new under the sun", we just take bits and pieces from each to see how it can help our particular business or project.

Go out today and try to think out of the box, stop putting limitations on yourself, the skies the limit. Michael showed us that it is possible to live your dreams, maybe not for ever but for a brief moment in time you too can have it all. Each morning I listen to a very inspirational tape created by nationally recognized Motivational speaker Les Brown and he always talks about this word "Possible" what do you feel is possible. Remember your life is about Choices, Challenges and Change, what choice you are going to make, are you going to be complacent and just live your life as you have till now are you going to take a stand for change and live your life full of possibilities.

Some of you know and some of you don't know that California filed a lawsuit against YTB for deceptive sales practices and operating a pyramid scheme. We don't have any secrets here at YTB and we don't keep any secrets.

YTB has been in meetings with California for months over a new proposed law in that state concerning the travel industry and it's potential impact on our business. The discussions reached a stalemate and California filed suit.

Folks, this is not the first time YTB has been challenged.

When any company is revolutionizing an industry, and growing faster than any other company in the industry, the industry doesn't like it. In our case, that is the travel industry. It is not a coincidence that last year YTB showed up as #35 on the Power List, and within 3 months we were challenged by IATA, Royal Caribbean, and Rhode Island.

Why do you think that happened?

The industry doesn't like us.

Now we are #26 on the Power List. This lawsuit is a result of the INDUSTRY putting pressure on the lawmakers, not an issue of whether YTB is in compliance with California law.

We will be challenged.
We will be shot at.
It has happened to EVERY company that changed an industry.
It happend to Microsoft, Walmart, IBM, McDonalds, Amway, Mary Kay, Excel, A.L. Williams, and every other company that revolutionized their industry.

2) Sell more Travel Stores.
Go find every friend you have that wants to get paid to travel, get tax deductions when they travel, and travel for less, and sell them a travel store. The more travel stores we have, the more travel we sell.

3) Do not talk to the media.
If someone tries to talk to you that has a notebook, a microphone or a camera, just tell them to send their questions to media@ytb.com, and refuse to talk with them. We have to let Coach, Scott and Kim fight this battle. We need to stay out of it.

4) Step Up and LEAD YOUR TEAM.
Nobody wants to follow a weak, disillusioned, crybaby, pansy.
At times like this, they look for STRONG, COMMITT ED, POWERFUL Leadership.
You need to STEP UP and be that LEADER for your team.
Talk to them. Keep them informed. Let them know where you stand.
Tell them --- You can quit if you want to, but I'M STAYING RIGHT HERE FOR THE FIGHT. It's gonna be WORTH it to me and my family for generations to come.
That's what Leaders do.

To be focused means having a keen sense of direction. Every thought, action and association has a purpose. Outstanding leaders are focused. They know what they are doing and why they are doing it. To become more focused a leader should:

1. Live on Purpose: We must understand that our life is a gift from God and the use of our life is a gift to God. Do not confuse profession with purpose.

2. Know Thy Self: Outstanding leaders know their strengths and opportunities. Stay in your lane. Do what you do best and delegate the rest.

3. Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing: A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. All distractions are equal. Keep you eyes on the prize.

4. Be a Master: If you try to do everything that comes your way, you will not excel at anything. Remember, a specialist earns much more that a generalist.

5. Commit to Life Long Learning: Always be coachable. Invest in self-improvement. Steven Covey calls it sharpening the saw. The market pays according to your value. Once you increase your skills the market will pay you accordingly.

Sticks and Stones

At an early age, I discovered the power of words. I can remember running home to my parents crying because the kids in our neighborhood would say hurtful things like, “You are so poor you can't pay attention!” It was true. We were poor, but that fact did not make the taunting any less painful. Unfortunately for me, however, I could pay attention and I paid close attention to the every hurtful word hurled at me. Those cruel words pierced into my soul just as sure as any knife would have.

My parents attempted to make it better by insisting that I retaliate by saying the old school yard comeback, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will not hurt me". As much as I repeated the retort, the power of the cruel words lingered on within me somehow. My parents were right about a lot of things, but they missed the mark big time on this sticks, stones and words. I now know for a fact that sticks and stones may break your bones and words will not only hurt you they can kill you!

According to the book of Proverbs the power of life and death are in the tongue. WOW.... That is truth. I often witness people that I coach or lead in my business as they talk themselves into or out of situations and circumstances. I believe that your success is in your mouth.

I always wanted to own and operate a restaurant. I would use " The 5 yard rule”. I would tell anyone that came within 5 yards of me that my business name is Ken's Hot Dog Stand. A couple of years later I was presented an opportunity to purchase 2 McDonald's Franchises.

Words are the most powerful force in the universe. Your words are the power that you have to create. Your word is the gift that comes directly from God. Through the word you manifest your intent, regardless of what language you speak. What you dream, what you feel, and what you really are will all be manifested through the words you speak.

The word is a force. It is the power you have to communicate, to think, and to there-by to create the events on your life. Remember, to be Impeccable with your words. Phil Knight Say "Just Do It"

The phrase ‘Just Do It’ has become a legendary mantra of self-sufficiency, rugged individualism and fearlessness. If you look deeply enough you can see that there is much more to the statement than meets the eye. Oft times in life we just have to face our fears and do it (whatever “it” is) anyway. Phil Knight had fears just as most people do when it comes to starting something new, but Phil Knight did it anyway.

Nike is a household name that came out of necessity. Mr. Knight was a great track athlete in the late 50's when he starred as a miler at Oregon. He experimented with different techniques to improve his times. He was very good. Roger Bannister broke the 4-minute mile in 1954 and Phil's best times were 4:10. Not bad. That being said, Phil Knight decided that there was a better shoe that could be made in Japan as opposed to the shoes that were being made in Germany at the time.

In 1962 Knight wrote a term paper for one of his graduate school courses. The paper was titled, "Can Japanese Sports Shoes Do to German Sports Shoes what Japanese Camera's Did to German Camera's?” Now just look at the time in between 1971 when Knight’s first shoe sold out and that term paper in 1962. In less than 10 years Knight created an unstoppable force by just doing it!

I did a little research into what Mr. Knight is worth today. The man is worth a cool 10 billion dollars. I am not saying someone reading this article can be worth 10 billion dollars like Phil Knight is today and I am not saying that saying that someone reading (or writing) this article cannot be worth 10 billion within the next decade. I am saying that it is possible. That’s huge. Sit with it for a minute…

It is possible for you or me to manifest a net worth of over 10 billion dollars in the 10 years. And before you start rolling yours eyes chew on this wise quote by Mr. Henry Ford, “If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right.”

It is possible for you to keep doing the same thing for the rest of your life and to keep getting what you’ve always gotten till your life is over. Or it is possible for you to ‘JUST DO IT’ (whatever ‘IT’ is) and change your life for the better forever. It is possible!

There is something very special about the world possible. It can be used in a positive manner such as, "I think it's possible to do this or that." Or it can be used in a negative capacity as in, “Man, that's just not possible." Either way the person saying it is right. How would this tie into becoming successful in real estate? The thing I try to impress on individuals daily is that time is on your side. Donald Trump did not become "The Donald" overnight and neither will you.

Take daily consistent actions towards your goals. Empower yourself and improve your odds by first educating yourself. Phil Knight was a track athlete who studied the game and went to earn a Master’s degree to further enhance his success. I'm not saying you need to take the exact same route that Phil or even Donald Trump took (he has a Master's degree from the Wharton School of Business). I am saying that you need to define your own goals, dreams and aspirations and go for them doggedly. If your goal requires a Master’s degree, get registered for college. If it requires excellent physical condition, join a gym and hire a personal trainer. What ever your dreams or goals require you to possess in order to manifest them—just do it!

The main thing I want to impart on those willing to risk their time, energy, efforts, and money is to take steps daily to improve your chances of success. Take specialty classes like real estate training courses and take courses specifically for your field of choice. Someone asked me once why I continue to go to seminars and continue to read books on my field. I answered with the following the question, “Would you go to a doctor or a lawyer who was not current on new cutting edge techniques or new laws that could help there clients win?” Most respond with a resounding “NO!” to that question. Yet I get the same question on a daily basis. Things change daily and so should you. There is no such thing as learning to much when it comes to reaching your highest goals and embracing your fondest dreams.

In closing, PREPARE! Increase your chances of succeeding in real estate by educating yourself with specific classes that can get you to your desired goals faster and more efficiently. Explore the possibilities. If you could invest 5K today and in 12 months it could pay you back 60k, would that be a good investment or a bad one? Do you understand how to evaluate an investment such as that? Do you know what your ROI (return on investment) ought to be with that amount of money over that length of time? Would you like to understand how money grows and how real estate investing really works? My guess is that you do or you would not be reading this message. You’d be off watching celebrity gossip, whining about gas prices or text messaging your neighbor about some trivial pursuit.

You are reading this message and that means that your possibilities have already greatly increased. With a few good mentors, the proper education in a reputable real estate course and a little common sense and diligence on your part, you can drastically change your life. You can tap into your own inner power to be free. You are serious about changing your life and learning how to generate wealth through real estate investing. You just need to surround yourself with like-minded people. You need real solid information, assistance, direction and encouragement from people who understand the field. You need to stop wasting time and get started on building the rest of your life.

There was a time in my life when I did not know that I had the power to choose to be free. Yet, once you know something, you cannot 'un-know' it. (Quiet as it's kept some people don't really want to be free. They want and need a 'boss'.) People who want to live powerfully can connect with other 'free-folks' and learn how to liberate themselves while making more money and spending as much time with their families as they can handle. That's power! That real living and it is truly priceless.

Money comes and goes, but days like that recent Saturday I told you about with my family are priceless. PART ONE

When I look at my wife, my children and family it all comes together. This is what it is all about; time with the family and to see the unbridled joy that your family has when you are there with them. At the end of life most people do not regret that they did not spend more time at work, make more money, bought a bigger house or a better car. Most people regret having not spent more precious time with their families and good friends. In the end, it becomes quite clear. Love, life and family—priceless!

In too many cases you may make money, but time is very limited. You are busy trying to make ends meet or make money to make your family happy. If we are really honest with ourselves we may see that we are doing it for ourselves and not the ones that really county.

My Dad who I tout as the greatest man alive always stresses to me the value of time with family. I have a quote that I attach to all my emails and it states, "Live today like tomorrow doesn't count, for today is really all that matters".

If you’re like most people you have family members that you spend less time with than you spend with your employees, or your co-workers. That is so backwards. I know that in my lifetime I want my family to get more of my time than anyone or anything else. Of course, in life it is easier said than done because living from day today comes with unforeseen challenges, stress and tasks that must be attended to. Still, spending more time with my family is a struggle for me on a daily basis. It is something I am willing to work on constantly though.

My challenge here is not due to the fact that I do not have enough time, but because I love what I do. (That’s a rare blessing.) It’s just that I often do not even feel that I am working. The drawback is, however, that when I am having such a good time investing, moving, shaking and generating wealth for my family and myself, I am missing precious time with my family. I actually have the best-case scenario because I am often able to work from my home office. I am often in the same house with my family, but I am detached off in my office. I’m talking shop on the phone or facilitating a business meeting with key team members and/or clients.

I thank God that I am able to live and work as I do. There is a need I see as I grow to make a serious commitment to stopping the wheels on a regular basis, jumping of the merry-go-round and getting to the real business of life; my kids, my wife. You see, I’m usually on a non-stop roll and loving every minute of it…until those moments when at the end of the day, I look around at my wife and children sleeping peacefully and realize that an entire day has whizzed by and I do not know what exactly happened in each of their lives on that particular day. I’ve vowed to consciously connect and spend time with them much more often, because I don’t want to miss a thing.

Recently I took advantage of the opportunity to spend an entire day with my family. It was a picture-perfect Saturday at Cedar Point. It was priceless. I am determined to create more days like that one with my family. Seriously, that is why I am working and building on my business as I do. It’s because I want to have and exercise my power to be free! So many people in this world simply do not have the freedom to choose to spend a day—any day with their family and just do it. I feel sorry for them, because I used to live like that. Then I discovered the one simple thing I needed to do to change everything.

Focus is the glue that holds a goal in place an insurance policy on your
journey to success. If you've got a great goal or idea but not focus, you
really don't have much!

What exactly is focus? Focus is simply a goal, a picture in your mind's
eye of something you want. Your focus is usually spelled in CAPITAL
LETTERS! It's the equivalent of Moby Dick in a goldfish bowl just too
powerful to ignore!

A successful focus is based on the concept of singularity. Your goal must
create in your mind both the perception and reality of importance. The
most important aspect of focus is single-mindedness.

Because everything you do moves you closer to or further from your goal,
focus cannot be considered in isolation. If everything you think, say, and
do moves you toward your goal, then everything requires focus!

Focus creates a powerful force: goal power. The moment you focus on a

The Power of a Made up Mind

It is truly awesome the power of the human mind, especially when you are determined to do something. If we take a journey through our life, lets look at the evolution of what has happened during our short existence. I think not, they knew, but they were oblivious to what the ordinary individual were doing, why you might ask, greed and more greed. In this business everyone makes money, so why stop the juggernaut when it is on a roll.

My mind was made up about 4-5 years ago, to position myself in an arena that will give me more control, have less competition and be the big man on campus. As you can see this has not been an overnight rags to riches story, it has been a plan that has take time to blossom and I am so excited about what I see so far. Week 2 of 2008 has come and Gone

We are knee deep into 2008 what have you done, are you any closer to making the life altering New Years resolutions that you made at the end of 2007. Some of you actually sat down and put time and effort into figuring out that you were not satisfied in 2007. So you decided that you wanted more in 2008 and you did what 95% of the population never achieves. You have a written roadmap to your success in 2008. I know that it is difficult at first to make the transition from a talker to a doer. Well I know that if you want something bad enough you will get off your but and make it happen. It sounds really simple and in the most part, your mind is the key to your success. Take a look back at the previous 13 days and ask yourself honestly what have you done that will bring about a different result in 2008. If we are honest we have probably done a lot of contemplating, but not much of anything else.

Take action on your dreams, it is here for you to take control, all you have to do is take action. If you decide that you really want to change badly enough you will take action. An elderly gentleman once told me that you can either change on your own or you will be forced to change which one are you. This is the information age, the age of you being OK with being average or mediocre is dead and gone, every 3-5 years you will have to upgrade your knowledge base or you will be left behind. If you look at the proliferation of the internet over the last 10 years all you can say is WOW. In 1998 if you asked 10 people what a “GOOGLE” is, 10 out 10 would have said what is a Google, now ask that same question and what will be the answer. So if you look at the big picture it does not take long for things to change in the information age, ready or not it’s changing, so why not be prepared and take action to put yourself in position to take advantage of change. The internet is here to say, so welcome it, learn it, and be well versed in the inner workings of the internet. It can and will make many, many millionaires in the near future.

This is just one area where change is happening very rapidly, we can look at the auto industry and see that it is a business that is on the decline, jobs are being lost daily to outsourcing and other technological improvements. The day and time where you could get a great job at the plant and live a middle class lifestyle will never return, so embrace it and understand that you can have the same lifestyle you just have to have different skill-sets, are you handy, well the building trades and home improvement will not be outsourced, a great handy man can make a significant living if he or she is willing to make a few modifications to the business they run, maybe a web presence or client relationship mechanism that you implement to keep your clients informed about your where about and other need to know information ,IE Specials you are running, referral programs that you have implemented. The easiest, but most overlooked growth would be to have satisfied customers refer other customers to you. Stop worrying so much about new customers and satisfy the one’s you have. What if every customer you acquire has the ability if satisfied to bring 1-3 new clients, well your business can double off every satisfied client.

I have just touched a couple of ideas that can give you the life you desire and deserve. As I stated in an earlier post or article, it all starts and ends with you. The New Year is still in its infancy you have plenty of time to make the necessary corrections to get back on track. Don’t worry about what you haven’t done so far, just worry about what you are going to do today, and tomorrow, the past is long gone and no matter what we say or do we can’t bring it back. Live in the moment sometimes, stop worrying so much about the mistakes you probably will make, so what, we all do it is a part of the learning process, fight through it and give you some valuable me time every day. Take time and ask yourself 2 simple questions.

1. Are you happy with the way your life has been in the past?

2. If you answered as most, what are you willing to do to change your current circumstances?

These 2 simple questions are what I live by, the answer you give will either take you in the direction that you want to go in or it will keep you exactly where you are currently.

LIFE IS A PONY CANTER

Think of life as a Pony Canter. If you start small and take easy galloping steps, you can accomplish anything you want. The desire to succeed comes from within. You must take life head-on, with all the challenges that may come your way. If you take the small easy galloping steps, you can plan and prepare a way to get through those challenges, and not around them. There is great joy in getting through a situation, knowing you did everything you were supposed to do. Not cutting corners or finding the easy way out.

Riding a pony with canter takes a great deal of patience, and you must be consistent. Don't rush life, life is a journey. Making that pony gallop faster won't get you what you need any quicker. You can miss out on great opportunities and the important things that life has to offer. Success comes from patience, waiting for the right opportunity, with the right people in your corner.

Everyone can ride the same pony, but can you do it with canter. Can you take an idea, act on it, and build it into something great without cutting corners? Do you have those important pieces of life's puzzle; patience, commitment, determination, and most of all faith?

Ready, Set ,Go

I know that you are wondering how ready, set, go has anything to do with you. Well I have been an athlete pretty much all my life and I have participated in many sports and they are all based on you being prepared for that certain moment when either the whistle blows for you to start, the buzzer sounds for you to start and end play. Well that is how we should be looking at our lives, our whistle now is the alarm clock and when it is sound that most dread from day to day. Then it gets worse if you work in certain environments you have whistles and buzzers that are sounding all the time to tell you when you can start working, or when you can take a break and even when it’s time to go home. It’s funny when you think about it, in your case you dread that whistle, alarm clock or buzzer going off, what if an elite athlete had the same mindset, his chance of being successful would be very limited.

As an athlete I looked forward to the whistle blowing and to start the game, or entity I am involved in. Why not live your life like an athlete, he or she has prepared for the event and is very excited about the outcome that will come only after the whistle blows to get everything started. There have not been to many cases where the athlete was late to the starting line or whatever the event is, not being ready for the tipoff to start. Can you say the same when you buzzer goes off in the morning and the game begins are you prepared or better yet are you excited about what’s going to happen over the next 24 hours, in most cases you dread it, you can’t wait until the whistle blows to end the day before it even gets started. Seriously folks, is that anyway to live you life, and remember it’s your life and you can live it anyway you want, if you desire to be happy and live life full of excitement and adventure, you have the ability to be in the small percentage of individuals that live life on there own terms. Or you can be like the majority that lets life dictate to them when they have to get up, when they can go to sleep and even when they can vacation.

The only one really in control of your actions and reactions are you, not the job you are currently in or even the situation you are in currently, smarter people than us have had to make this same decision, I want freedom, and I am willing to pay the price to get it, will it be easy, don’t kid your self, but is it worth it. If you go back to the title, to become an elite athlete that earns millions of dollars, adored by many if you ask them is it easy, they will probably tell you the same thing it is not easy, but it is worth it. What would it be like if you could dictate your terms, your rules of engagement, well you can if you are willing to make a few changes in your life, first you must believe in yourself and understand that whatever it is that you desire, you can obtain it. After you get in the right frame of mind you must put together a plan of action that you feel will get you to your goals the fastest and most efficiently. The final and most important part of your transformation in most cases are your associations, it is difficult at first because you are still a little resistant to change, but when you really sit down and think about it all you need to is create the right relationships, the right associations and let the ones that are not adding value go. There is an old saying find someone that has what you desire, find out what they did to achieve it and you truly have a roadmap to your success. Sam Walton once said, there’s really, nothing new under the sun, so why reinvent the wheel, someone, somewhere probably has already done what it is that you want to do, so find them and see what it is they have done and duplicate it. Remember tomorrow the whistle will blow in the morning ready or not, why not be ready with a plan of action that will make this day the best day you can make it.

A dozen deductions for your small business

Small-business tax rule No. 1: Don't mess with the IRS.

But that doesn't mean you should cheat yourself. Take every legal deduction you can. Here are a dozen that even savvy small-business owners and entrepreneurs sometimes forget:

1. Home office
Concerned that claiming a home-office deduction is tantamount to sending an engraved invitation to an Internal Revenue Service auditor? Don't be, says Jan Zobel, author of Minding Her Own Business: The Self-Employed Woman's Guide to Taxes and Recordkeeping.

"I don't agree that chances of getting audited are greater with a home-office deduction," says Zobel, a San Francisco Bay-area tax expert, who specializes in serving the self-employed. In her own practice, she has prepared more than 400 returns a year for the last 25 years. And while at least half of her clients claim a home-office deduction, only one home-based entrepreneur has been audited.

The key here is that you use the term "home office" the same way the IRS does. The tax agency says it must be a space devoted to your business and absolutely nothing else. Deducting the den that houses the family computer and serves as a guest bedroom won't fly with Uncle Sam.

"If you only have one computer and you have a child over four, the IRS is going to be pretty certain that the child is using the computer," says Zobel. "And the burden of proof is on you."

The deduction, however, isn't limited to a full room. Your home office can be part of a room. Just how much of the space is deductible? Measure your work area and divide by the square footage of your home. That percentage is the fraction of your home-related business expenses -- rent, mortgage, insurance, electricity, etc.-- that you can claim.

2. Office supplies
Even if you don't take the home-office deduction, you can deduct the business supplies you buy. Hang onto those receipts, because these expenditures will offset your taxable business income.

3. Furniture
When your office supplies are more than just pens and paper, you have another tax-cutting opportunity.

Office-furniture acquisitions provide a couple of choices. Deduct 100 percent of the cost in the year of the purchase or deduct a portion of the expense over seven years, also known as depreciation.

To take the whole cost in one tax year you'll use the Section 179 deduction (named for the part of the tax code where the law appears). Recent tax-law changes have made this deduction even more attractive. For the 2006 tax year, a business owner can expense up to $108,000.

If you choose instead to depreciate the desks and filing cabinets, you can't simply split the cost into equal portions over the depreciation period. Instead, you must use an IRS chart to make separate calculations each year.

Which is better for you? Anticipate the times that your business will need these deductions the most. Both options are reported on IRS Form 4562.

4. Other equipment
Items such as computers, copiers, fax machines and scanners also are tax deductible. As with furniture, you can take 100 percent up front or depreciate (this time over five years).

5. Software and subscriptions
The recently increased Section 179 provides another tax break in this area of business expenses. Previously, a company had to depreciate the cost of computer software over three years. Now, off-the-shelf software a business buys can be fully expensed in the year purchased.

The rules for deducting business and industry-related magazine subscriptions weren't changed. You can continue to take the total costs as a full deduction in the year spent.

6. Mileage
If you drive for business, the IRS wants to give you some of your money back. But Uncle Sam loves documentation, so keep a notebook in your vehicle to record the date, mileage, tolls, parking costs and the purpose of your trip.

At the end of the year, you have two choices. You can total the mileage and add in the tolls and parking to calculate your deduction. Once you have your mileage total, multiply it by 44.5 cents for your 2006 deduction. For 2007 business tax purposes, the rate goes to 48.5 cents a mile.

Or you can measure your business usage against your personal driving and deduct that portion of your auto-related expenses, says Zobel. Remember to include gas, repairs and insurance.

If you are leasing, include those payments. If you buying the car, factor in the interest on your loan and depreciation on your vehicle.

And if your company's office is at your house, you get a bit more of a break. You can deduct the entire business-related mileage, from the minute you pull out of the driveway until you return home, says Gary W. Carter, author of J.K. Lasser's Taxes Made Easy for Your Home-Based Business: The Ultimate Tax Handbook for the Self-employed

If your business is not home-based, your mileage meter starts at your first business-related destination and ends at your last. You can't include the drive to and from home, says Carter, a CPA and professor at the University of Minnesota. In this case, try to schedule several business appointments on the same day to allow you to take the mileage between stops as a tax write-off.

7. Travel, meals, entertainment and gifts
Good news, small-business travelers. You might as well stay in a nice hotel, because the entire cost is tax deductible. Likewise, the cost of travel -- air, rail or auto -- is 100 percent deductible, as are costs associated with life on the road (dry cleaning, rental cars and tipping the bellboy).

The only exception is eating out. You can deduct only 50 percent of your meals while traveling. So stay at the Ritz and eat at Wendy's.

Once you get home, your on-the-job meals aren't deductible -- unless you bring along a client to talk business. In this case, you might consider splurging on a fancier meal because then you can write off half such work-related dining costs.

The 50-percent deduction limit applies to most other client entertainment expenses, too. But a direct gift to a client or employee is 100 percent deductible, says Zobel, up to $25 per person per year.

8. Insurance premiums
Self-employed and paying your own health insurance premiums? These costs are 100 percent deductible.

This break primarily benefits proprietorships, but there are limits. The deduction can't be more than your business' net profit. And it's not allowed if you were eligible for other health care coverage, including that offered by your employed spouse's medical plan.

Did your spouse work for you last year? Then, says Carter says, you can get the full medical premiums deduction on your return. As an employee, your spouse's premiums are 100 percent deductible; if you and the children were on her policy as dependents, so are those costs.

Two caveats: 1) Your spouse's employment must be real, not in name only, and you must offer coverage equally to any other employees. 2) Failure to meet these requirements could result in a lawsuit, an audit or both.

You also can include some of the premiums you pay for long-term care insurance for yourself, your spouse or dependents.

9. Retirement contributions
Are you self-employed and saving for your own retirement with a SEP-IRA or Keogh? Don't forget to deduct your contribution on your personal income tax return.

10. Social Security
The bad news: If you're self-employed or starting a small business, you have to pay double the Social Security contributions you would as an employee. That's because federal law requires the employer pay half and the employee pay half. Self-employed workers are both, meaning the total will equal 15.3 percent of your net profits.

The good news: You can deduct half of the contribution on your 1040.

11. Telephone charges
You can deduct the cost of the business calls that you make for business from home. When your bill comes in, circle the business-related calls, total them up and keep a copy. At the end of the year, tally your 12 bills and deduct 100 percent.

The IRS assumes that you will have a phone in your house anyway, so Zobel cautions that regular fees and charges don't count toward your deduction. But if you have a second line installed and use it only for business, all of these charges are deductible.

12. Child labor
"It's always good to employ your kids," says Carter. Depending upon how much you paid them, they might be able to avoid income taxes. Plus, there is no Social Security tax when you hire your child who is 17 or younger and you can deduct the salary as a business expense. This break is available, however, only if you operate as a sole proprietor or as a partnership in which you and your spouse are the only partners. If your business runs as a corporation, then it, not you, are considered the employer and the corporation is not relieved of the tax liabilities.

Make the money go even further. Have your child contribute to a Roth IRA, says Carter. Not only have you gotten a nice tax deduction from the salary and trained your youngster to save, you've also help establish a nest egg for his or her future.

The New Year is hear what have you done

The first thing I would like to do is to wish everyone a happy and prosperous New year. Look at the title and take a second to think, what you have done in the 120 hours that have transpired since the start of the New Year. The answer is important to you, for a multitude of reasons; most New Years Resolutions as we like to call them are won and lost at the starting line. Well the starting line for you happens to be January 1, 2008, and you have to be very cognizant of what you do or do not accomplish on a daily basis. The reason I am asking you to back track and see what you have accomplished in the previous 4 days would be to make you start being accountable for you time, everyday counts when you are trying to make a transformation from who you are presently into the person you want to be. It is a proven fact that most resolutions are lost within the first week of the year and once the average person regresses once they feel they have lost it for the entire year and that does not have to be true, remember everyone makes mistakes, people smarter, richer and more sophisticated than us have regressed from time to time, so do not beat yourself up that you did not hit your desired goals within the first week of the month, or better yet you probably are still in the process of starting to implement your plan for the New Year.

This is just a little encouragement for you to stay focused on what it is that you want to accomplish in 2008, someone will do it why not you. The most important part I have found in hitting and exceeding your goals, would be to have small to moderate milestones that you reward yourself with, don’t be a taskmaster to yourself and get down when things do not go according to plan, as a matter of fact expect things to get in your way and you will be ahead of the game. A quick little test that I like to give individuals, you sat down and wrote your goals and if you are like most you put them somewhere that no one else can find them or see them, what if you put them in an area that people can see them. The reason I tell people to put your goals out there is that you may find that one someone that might hold you to your word, they can or will on a regular basis question you about how you are doing in respect to your goals.

This can do wonders to keep you on track; you can only motivate yourself so far in the beginning so building a solid team that you ask to assist you in reaching your goals is almost mandatory for you at the beginning. The test is to see if for 30 days you enlist 1-3 of your friends and or coworkers in on your plans or goals and see if that helps you or hurts you in obtaining what it is that you want. Be sure to select the most ambitious in your group, giving your goals to a nay-sayer will hurt you more than it can help you, in the beginning you need to insure that you have the most support you can find, so select wisely and see if that can assist you. The breaking of bad habits are a two-fold process, the first is to implement a plan to break your bad habit and second is to replace your bad habit with a new habit and implement it for 30 days, so think about it you are only really 30 day to a new you.

To Be or Not to Be its truly all up to me

I was asleep and this topic came to me, I was tossing and tuning and my wife was getting frustrated about me not being able to sleep. I told her I had something I needed to write down before I could rest well. Well it really just dawned on me, that my success and lack of it all really depends on me. The reason I say that with such amazement is that for the first time I truly believe it and better yet I know what I need to do today, tomorrow and so on to obtain what it is that I truly want. Individuals always say it, but do you really mean that you know what you want. It is as clear as the sun is on a sunny day. I want freedom, freedom not only from debt, but from the constraints of having to live by everyone’s rules. I know that I can and will change the rules for me; I want and know I can do it for others, but you must first believe that the rules can be changed.

The rules are always made up by someone, have you ever wondered who made up the 9-5 rules for employment and that it takes exactly 40 hours for everyone to get a said task completed. There are rules for all of us to follow, but why do you have to be like everyone else, lets start living out of this box that we all so carefully trying to stay in. Well these rules are changing daily, but not as fast as I would like them to, so I have decided to create my own rules, my own playbook. It will not be that thick and it will not have a lot of details in it. I will be able to tell you this before I even write a word in it, every page will have something on it that I like and want to do. Sounds nice, and most that are reading this will say, yeah that sounds nice, but you are different you have your own business, you can dictate your terms better than me, well at one time I was in your shoes and had to listen to my knuckle head boss and decided I could lead me better that he could to the promised land. My life will be lived on terms that will give me first and foremost freedom, by the end of 2008 or towards the beginning of 2009 I will work only 9 months a year and vacation and or do nothing for 90 days a year.

What would it be like to have 90 days a year off, no I am not including those days that most call a vacation the weekend. I will have 90 days 3 entire months off every year, not including weekends which most look forward to starting on Monday. It can and will happen, why you might ask, well I know and truly believe it can happen and I am implementing systems and structures to insure that it will be possible. My goal is to make more in less time, why not someone else is doing it why not me, why not make more in less time and have more time with the one’s you love or doing things that you like to do. All it takes is a plan, and for you to implement the plan that can give you the life you deserve instead of the life you have. I have talked to my partners and we have 30 day,60-90-180-366 day goals and benchmarks we need to hit to insure that not only will I have and enjoy my life at the end of this year, but my partners as well. It is a very good feeling to have to know that if and when I hit my goals every month, my life is becoming easier and easier.

My plan is my plan, what’s yours, are you really serious about making a change in your life, if you are I am committed to helping you, the first thing you need to realize, it is simple, but not easy, it will be hard, but very rewarding. It is your life do you think you are worth it. Act as if you are fighting for your future, your happiness and well being depends on your actions today, not tomorrow. If you acted with this in mind daily, weekly, or monthly you probably would have a different mindset, your actions would be decidedly more action oriented. Let take a pop quiz, if you had to grade your success or lack of success on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best where would you rate your 2007. I would rate my 2007 a 2 that means I have a long way to go, where would you rate yours and what is even more important what are you going to do today to insure that rating will be a 10. In closing I would like to say that 2008 will be a year to remember for me, I have some outrageous goals for January, and then it’s off to the races from there on. What do you have planned for January, better yet and even more important what do you have planned for the next 7-10 in January, everyday counts. Procrastination is the biggest dream stealer that I know, stop putting off your life till tomorrow.

Living Life on your terms starts and ends with you, are you ready to do something different, success is available for everyone, but most will never achieve even a portion of the success of others due to fear of failure, failure is a very real part of success, the more you fail, the more chances you have of success.

Will 2008 Be a Repeat of 2007?

This is a question we should all be wrestling with because 2008 is fast approaching all of us. The question you need to ask yourself is what will be different in 2008 that will give you a different result than you have had not only in 2007, but in the previous 3 or 4 years. In most cases we are really in a circle, that just strangles repeats itself over and over again. The mistakes, the lack of income, the lack of a plan, this was a problem for most in 2000 and is a problem for them in 2007 as well, 2008 can and will be decidedly different if we want it too. I am here to assist you in making 2008 the breakthrough year you have all been waiting. I recently conducted a seminar and we had a dynamic guest speaker named Ken Brown (www.Kenbrowninternational.com) and he would repeatedly say that you need to write this down or this is some good stuff here. Well the stuff here may not have the same power that Mr. Ken Brown said it with, but this is some stuff you need to write down, and take notes on. One of the best antidotes he gave was that (Success Leaves Clues) well if it leaves clues what clues have you been following or finding recently? If we are honest with ourselves our clues have not amounted to much and they probably have come far and few between.

Why you might ask, well you need to see who’s in your immediate circle, the people you consider your closest friends and or your confidant. What is the medium income of this group, if the group is not making money, or even motivated to go forward then the clues you will see and hear will reflect this? We need to respect our time and our associations, what means more to you, your friends and how they will perceive you when you are on your quest for success or are you like most too worried that you may rattle a few feathers with you changing for the better. Success can be achieve by all but most never take a real stab at it, they are too worried about failure, they are too worried about making mistakes, too worried about what could go wrong, or the dreaded what if’s of the world. Well every day, every hour someone is living and achieving life milestones that they previously thought were unobtainable, why not you.

Achieving your goals will make you uncomfortable, it will make you question your sanity at times, but what of true value has not come with some sacrifice. I use myself as an example, most only see the exterior or the end results, but as they say in show business if you only knew what really goes on behind the scenes, well 2007 was a great character building year for me. It gave me the confidence that no matter what happens I can overcome it, the greatness and the success I crave for is right around the corner. I just need to stay focused on my goals and truly prioritize what will give me the greatest return on my time and energy every day.

This will be a 3 part series that I will give you success clues and tips that will propel you in 2008 to a status where you will question why did it take me so long, what was I waiting for, if this was all I had to do then why didn’t someone tell me sooner. Stop worrying about the past, it is dead and gone, never to rise its ugly head again. Live in the moment and you will be thoroughly surprised at what is possible. Tips for this lesson will be

1. Take a close look at your circle, the 5 that you associate with, the 5 you would think as your advisors so to speak and ask them, what are there plans for 2008, better yet do they have any. If the answers are not on the level you feel that can help or assist you in achieving your goals in 2008 you need to create some new associations ASAP. Time is of the essence here, 2008 will be here in less than 48 hour. My mother and a good friend of mine told me that whatever way you start the year that is going to be a great indicator of the year to come.

2. Second and most important, you have time, write down what you want to accomplish for 2008, don’t worry if you have never achieved it before, that what goals are for, they are for you to have a visible reminder of what you feel that you can accomplish. In 2008 there will be more Millionaires created than ever, on the flip side, 2008 will probably see more financial disasters than ever before, foreclosures will continue to rise, Bankruptcies will go through the roof, it’s kind of funny when you think about it, in the same 365-366 days that someone will become a Millionaire, someone will loose it all at the same time, we all have the same amount of time, which side do you want to be on. Be specific in your goals, create a yearly income and personal goal and then break it down month by month. If you are not used to writing goals, my advice to you would be to just figure out what you would like to do in January that will possibly give you a different result than you got in December. Try to see if you can find one new person that can assist you in your quest for success. Read one book, it seems hard, but the average reader reads at 200 words per minute, so even if you read below average you can take 30 minutes and read 5-10 pages a day. Even with as little as 5-10 pages a day x 30 days you are at 150-300 pages in January, most books are between 150-200 pages.

In closing I would like to say that taking 7 hours a week to improve your is well worth it, you may think that you do not have the time, but you do, act as if you life depends on it, I know mine does so I wake up every morning with a purpose, and a goal I try to achieve that day. PERSISTANCE LEADS TO SUCCESS

It was my junior year in high school and also my first year ever touching a football. The courage it took to step on the field with guy’s twice my size ultimately brought me to where I am today. I stood at 5’10 145 pounds just finishing my 6 year career in the marching band. As I think back, I really did not know what I was thinking when I told myself that football was my new hobby or what I called my new “extra curricular activity”. I guess the peer pressure and the ridicule from my peers had a lasting effect on me, but everything inside of me wanted to prove to them that I could play football.

Once I finally got on the field (the practice field), what kept me fearless was the realization that the guys lining up across from me were my friends from the neighborhood. Unfortunately, that did not stop them from laying punishment on me in addition to helping me endure some of the worst pain that my body has ever experienced. As the year ended, I grew tired of lending my fresh equipment out during each game, which by the way left me almost bare without any equipment on by the fourth quarter. Furthermore, getting playing time only when we were down by 35 or more, was just as embarrassing as being known as the “human equipment room”.

By my senior year, after intense training and a disciplined eating habit, I returned with a vengeance and quickly became a key starter on defense. My teammates and I finished the season 0-8, but our record did not match the amount of talent we had on our roster. Being from a city that had a “bad reputation of breeding athletes with negative characteristics and low work ethic”, the chances of any college scout or coach coming to recruit me was very low. It was ONLY by chance that I came across a coach from Ferris State University (Division II) who gave me an opportunity to play college ball. One year later after my freshman year at Ferris, I transferred to Michigan State University football and landed a spot on the team roster. As a result of persistence, hard work and natural athleticism, I eventually locked a spot on the second team defense (considering I walked on and was behind an All Big Ten canidate). As of today, I am continuing my football career at the professional level playing Arena Football while still aspiring to play in the NFL. The many playing opportunities that were given to me are of high value. I would have never thought that I would be playing side by side with the same All Americans I envied while I was in high school nor did I think I would playing against great players in the Arena Football League.

As I look at top ranked University of South Florida’s roster and see how a majority of their players did not receive a single Division I scholarship, I speculate all the possible stories they may own. In addition, the USF football team has also helped produce three future 2008 first round picks who will finally receive all the benefits of their hard work and drive to better themselves as an athlete. There are many over rated athletes, but there are even more over looked athletes who desire for an open door of opportunity. We at DAASH ( a online recruiting business and academic assistance for athletes) know what an athlete needs because we are the athlete and athletes are us. Now standing at 6’2 260 pounds I am not just the President of DAASH Athletic Enterprises, Inc., I have been where many athletes want to go and have overcome many difficulties while getting there, now I am creating a way for more athletes to receive the exposure they deserve.

Picture Perfect

Can anything really be picture perfect, in reality it can only look that way? The Mona Lisa a world renowned painting that has sold numerous times for Millions of Dollars has notable flaws. The reason I write this is that people need to understand that nothings going to be perfect, Microsoft has the greatest collection of minds possibly ever assembled and they understand and even expect to have a certain number of problems with every launch, remember nothing ever going to be picture perfect. I conduct seminar and promote entrepreneurship and this is the one of the biggest reasons why most never take the first step, due to most wanting everything to be picture perfect. Well what if there is something wrong, is that good or bad, for me it’s something good, do to that fact that to even have something wrong I have attempted something. Expect things to be imperfect, its OK, nothings going to be picture perfect, but proceed anyway and I know without a shadow of a doubt things can be improved if first and foremost you at least do something, if there is nothing ventured, there can’t be anything gained.
Now we come to the conclusion that we need to first do something what’s next, well what about putting a realistic timeline toward your goal or project, this is geared toward starting a business, but can easily be used in other areas of your life, if you wanted to go back to school, do a project around the home, build a better relationship with your loved ones or any other items that you have put off do to the fact you were afraid that you either did not have the time or things would not turn out exactly the way you planned it. Well, let me burst your bubble now, its never going to be as good or as bad as you think it will be, I am working on building a business in a different state, never been before, and really do not know a lot of people in the state, but I am going forward anyway, will there be problems, yes, but it’s OK and I welcome the problems.
The problems I incur will be R & D for me, but if I never start and wait until I get comfortable and everything aligns right, I will never start the business. Trust me you can find a million reasons on why you will not be successful and if you let your fears and doubt run your life business or personal life you will always loose. Take your life into your hands today and do something that you have always wanted to do, I am not only talking about your business, but in your life period. See how it feels to just spontaneously do something; your life does not have to be so rigid and structured. I live life day by day, with a plan in mind, a goal I want to hit, but I am very flexible, very forgiving to myself for the mistakes or problems, I know I will incur.
Most beat themselves up for not being picture perfect from the start. Remember perfection is something that we shoot for but really never obtain. If you shoot for the stars and you hit the eagle did you win or loose, in my eyes you win do to the fact that you did something. I recently had a meeting with a gentleman I respect, and he talked about people are plotting and planning since Christmas is coming, well we all now that Christmas and the holidays come every year, its not a surprise, why wait or put of doing something that can literally change the way you live your life until after Christmas, its coming every year whether you are ready or not, so go out and take your life by the horns and live the life we all deserve. Santa will not come and give you what you want, it will not be under the tree, no matter how many presents you unwrap. The only you will be able to get and achieve what you want is to start pointing the finger back at you. If you ever looked closely when you point a finger at someone, one is pointing at someone else, one is pointing up and 3 are pointing right back at you. In closing shoot for the stars what if you miss what’s the worse thing that can happen.

If you are looking to achieve something within the next 12 months that you realistically feel is possible and willing to look at the glass at being half full. You need to give me a call; I am looking to create freedom for as many individuals that are willing to do something different. I am not saying I have the cure for cancer, but I do have the cure for the doldrums we call life, I feel life should be lived at full speed. If you are looking to be a bad boy or girl for the next 12 months and break the monotony of the system you are in, willing to live on the edge for a little while you need to give me a call. Remember Freedom is available for all, but all are not willing to do what it takes to obtain it.

When you arise in the morning what's on your mind, are you excited about the day at hand or are you more concerned about the fact that you were woke up by the sounds of your annoying alarm clock. Is this really what life is all about, you wake up only to dread the next 8-10 hours of your day. The only thing you really are excited about throughout the day are breaks, lunch and quitting time.

Really is that what your life has evolved to, from elementary, high school, college, and now your profession everyday is chore, it's a job you are not looking forward to at all. Well when I rise in the morning I can't wait for the day to come, I am upset when night comes, due to the fact that I am limited to what can be done, but excited about rising in the morning, excited about the new tremendous possibilities that are in store for me in the coming hours.

Why just exist, why let life dictate to you your terms of existence, fight back and you become the dictator, and you say that my life will be exciting and full of vigor, why because you say so. You can look at life as if the glass is half full like I do or you can join the 90% of the population and look at the glass as half empty, its your choice either way and guess what were all looking at the same glass.

That Day, That Day

This is the day when nothing you do is right, it seems as if you can do nothing right. You wake up late, you get pulled over for speeding, You get into it with your significant other. Your car which you just purchased seems to be having mechanical problems, you get the picture. That day where nothing seems to go right, you are just in a bad frame of mind and you want let the world know that you are having a bad day. What is that going to do, nothing but create more negative Karma in the world. Well what if we use “That Day” as a tool for future lessons for your business.

As you see, I have mentioned nothing about business so far. Well there will be what I will graciously call them “Character building days” in business. These are days when you are supposed to have things are supposed to happen and it does not, so what, it is not the end of the world and in most cases it is not going to put you out of business, there will be days as the entrepreneur we all aspire to be will have that will “Test Us”. I will let you know now that I have not ever mentioned that being a entrepreneur was going to be easy, but I said is was simple. The reason I say is that it is simple is that you probably already have had a role model or someone to imitate. I once read a book by Sam Walton of the Walton Empire and he said it very simply, “there is nothing really new under the sun, we can just put a different spin on it”. We all probably have had someone before us be successful in said field.

For the purpose of this article I will use my success in Network Marketing, everyone’s dream is to hit that level of leadership, whether it be a Regional Manager, Diamond, or in the organization I love YTB a Director. In most cases there has been someone that has hit the level of success that we all desire and we can use them as our roadmap to success, we are not like Roger Bannister and have to do something that has never been done before. The one caveat I would like to stress is that we can’t have success in the Burger King franchise model, “You can have it your way”, the success of the leaders I mentioned are roadmaps to your success, that path have already been trail blazed, why reinvent the wheel if you do not have too.

The key in your success is to do what works, success can’t be done in the usual “Cafeteria Style” we all do, then we will be the first to complain this does not work. “Cafeteria Style” lack of success I call it, will be that you have a road map for success, but you somehow in your mind feel there is a detour or shortcut in the system or directions that can get to your desired goal faster, in most case you will be dead wrong. If your up-line tells you that you need to have 1 Home introduction weekly and you need to talk to a minimum of 5 new people a week then by golly that is what you need to do, I mentioned in the start of the letter about the “Character Building” days or “That day” you will have in life, well you will have the same in this great business of Network Marketing, you will have no-shows, cancelled orders, dropouts or falloffs as we network marketer like to call them. So what, someone else today is signing up the next superstar in the network marketing world, why not you.

Michigan-Ohio State what’s so important

The big game is over, Ohio State has won again, I am a true blue Michigan fan, and I know all the stats of Michael Hart, Henne, and the rest of the bunch at U of M. I may even bleed Maize and Blue, but in the grand scheme of thing does it really matter. This not a knock on anyone that went to the game, watch it on TV, and even made a rather hefty wager on the event. The reason why I use this as a topic is that we usually get more excited about something that is happening in someone’s life other than ours. Why is that, if Michigan won would that have changed your life, probably not, since Ohio State won again what has happened, probably nothing, but now you have to find something to get excited about now, what is it going to be.

Well I have a clue, what about your life, why not plan your life the way you do, for your favorite TV show, I mean I can’t count how many times I have had to reschedule appointments due to get this American Idol,( again someone else living there dreams and shooting for the stars not the Millions of devoted fans watching, Simon earns 50 million a year telling people how bad they are and we tune in week after week) Dancing with the Stars, or maybe its 24 or Cold Case. Have you ever researched what the actors make on the made for TV dramas, some make what we make in a year, per episode. I like watching a good game like the rest of you, I have my Michigan Jacket, of course hat, jogging suit, socks and all the other Michigan gear I can pay for, but there is one big difference between me an you. I understand the best way I can give back to Michigan is to become a great success and give back to the University. In the grand scheme of things which one do you feel the University of your choice would appreciate more, your undying devotion to watching the game or your extreme generosity in donating a new wing to the University of your Choice. As for American idol why not just make enough money and go watch it live, stop being on the sidelines, lets get in the game we all call life.

I can only speak for myself; I know that I am not currently living the life I think I deserve, so I am willing to work day and night to change it. I have stopped blaming everyone else for my misfortunes and decided to devote the next 12 months to living the life I deserve. Well what are you going to do over the next 12, if you are like most it will just be a snapshot of your current circumstances. It does not have to be that way, you are the only one that can change that, stop the dreaded P (Procrastination) word and do something about it today, not tomorrow. Life is short so you really only have a short window of opportunity to really enjoy it. We are young and dumb first, then we become older and supposedly wiser, then we truly age and start reflecting on all the mistakes we made and the dreaded What if syndrome. So whatever your current situation except it, embrace it, and make a commitment that today is the first day of my new life, the old which I lived for so many years are a thing of the past, today I will reinvent myself, I will start living the life I always dreamed of. Food for thought, someone today is buying the home of there dreams why aren’t you, someone today is taking the vacation of the lives, why not you, and today someone will become a millionaire, why not you.

So for all that believe in fairy tales and that dreams do come true, you need to attend today’s YTB meeting at 3 Pm in Farmington Hills

Why I Love YTB

I love YTB. Well, let me first say that it is not due to the large checks that everyone receives from the YTB business. I am not a Dream Team recipient nor am I a Level 1 Director--yet. No other networking program that I have ever tried before has given me what YTB has given me. I have tried several network marketing businesses from Link Communications, (phones and cellular), Mellaluca, Amway, Pre-Paid Legal, and Primerica. They are all great companies. If marketed correctly they will give you exactly what you put into it. Yes, they are good companies but I never had any love for them. I love YTB!

In the past, I always just showed up. I did nothing between the meetings. If I had any conversations about the business, it was always filled with negativity. I would constantly say things like, “This stuff doesn’t work.” “I’m not good at this.” “Even though Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki say that network marketing is the best way to build wealth today…I don’t think they meant this business!” There was a load of negative tapes playing in my head and I just couldn’t hear past them.

I knew individuals personally that had made money with YTB. Yet, for some reason I never gave the business my all. Well, something about YTB suddenly clicked with me one day. YTB somehow connected with that inner voice that had been deep within me for 38 years. The volume on the negative thoughts began to diminish steadily. The positive influence of YTB began to change my thinking on a lot of things. The once tiny repressed voice began to grow in volume and resonance. It all rang true. And when it clicks, it just clicks!

I joined YTB in March of 2007, site unseen. I had no product knowledge, but I joined on the strength of two great men that were very successful in their fields. In life if you are going to follow someone at least follow someone who has what you want. These gentleman were success personified. I wanted what they had. I knew even if I didn’t succeed at the business, I would have access to the minds of these two gentlemen. That was well worth it for me. Still, there was so much more in store for me with YTB.

The process has been a journey to say the least. I have diligently called and emailed. I have worked at inspiring people. I have sincerely put effort and creativity into demonstrating to people that there is more to living than just existing. I’ve urged people to ask themselves why they would settle for just getting by when they can truly live the lives that they have always dreamed of living. I have even showed people a plan in which I reveal to them how they can achieve the success of a lifetime within a mere 1-3 years of hard work.

Objections? I’ve encountered it all. Still, objections, resistance or rejection have never deterred me. I have heard and I have likely said it all myself before. I have a little phrase and series of questions that I use when individuals give me excuses. I say, “Well, what’s the alternative? Would you rather work 30 years at one job? And that’s if you don’t get laid-off or downsized. We all realize that jobs today no longer have a 30-year lifespan. Right? So you will not even be able to obtain the gold watches and pensions that your grandparents and parents used to get. Do you feel that your future is secure? Will you just work all of your life just to work all your life until you die? Is that what you are telling me you want?” No one has ever honestly been able to say that they really want to embrace any part of those losing scenarios.

The problem for most people is that they are afraid. They fear failure. Truth be told, failure is not really failure if we learn from it. If we keep following a consistently failing path, however, that’s a very serious problem. Most of us can clearly see that business as usual today will lead the majority of Americans to a life of lack, struggle and failure. Yet, so many people continue to run like little rats on wheels. They know they’re going in circles but they’re afraid to jump off the wheel. The definition of insanity is; doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results. I know the fear that holds people back. They must push past it though. As one of the top motivational books out there advises; Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway.

Let’s get back to why I love YTB. It’s not for the money. There was a YTB presentation or something that mentioned Coach. He was destined to do great things as his mother had always told him he would. He struggled and had to deal with death as well in his life. Through all of his many struggles he kept that burning desire for greatness within him. He held fast to what his mother told him on her dying bed. He could almost hear his mother whispering to him saying, “You are going to do great things in your life Son…Great things.” Thus far in Coach’s life, everything his mother spoke over his life has come to fruition. He has done and continues to do great things.

My father consistently spoke those same words over my life when I was a boy. He said, “Darrick I do not know what or how, but God will pour a great blessing on you and you will not even know where it came from!” Well, I now know exactly what vehicle God is using to pour great blessings on my life. I found it with YTB. My thought patterns have changed dramatically. Understand that it is not the monetary success that I am referring to here, though monetary success is a major component of YTB. I have seen many people who have gotten into YTB and within a few short months they have completely replaced their salaries. Others have doubled and even tripled their salaries. That is exceptional, but that is not why YTB has been such a blessing in my life.

My thoughts have changed due to YTB and with the change in my thoughts my life has also changed. It is just as Dr. Wayne Dyer says in his book, “Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life”. That’s really how it works. The voice of success and the spirit of abundance that have taken over in my life are simply undeniable and irresistible. It drives me forward. It’s that voice that comes out when it can no longer be kept down. It drowns out all negativity. It moves me to take positive actions everyday. It won’t allow me to be idle. What is that spirit? It is the spirit of success and hard work. It is a blessing from God. Failure is not an option. YTB awakened the sleeping giant of ultimate success within me and I am doing things that I never even dreamed of doing before. I’m unstoppable!

Individuals do not believe me when I tell them that I have never consistently written before. Well, prior to joining YTB, I had not written consistently. Greatness propels me forward and I just have to go with this blessing that my father told me God had in store for me. I remember it all started with an email that I sent out about the YTB opportunity. I wrote a message to tell others about what this business was doing for me and how in just a short time it had change my family’s life and my life. And “BAM!” A light flashed on. Someone called in response to my message. A few people answered my e-mails and wanted to learn how gain their financial freedom with YTB. I was and still am amazed.

Writing about YTB made me really see and appreciate the power of the pen coupled with YTB. I found a new gift thanks to YTB after writing my first few messages. So I decided to send another message and another. It was like discovering a new calling in life. I’ve found that I sincerely like to write. I have a lot to say. People need to hear my story because it inspires them to connect with their own story. What’s even more of a blessing is that people tell me all the time how much they enjoy and appreciate my message. That means more to me than words can say.

As the light within me grew brighter and brighter I asked myself a significant question. Why not write a book? I don’t want to just talk about writing a book as so many people do. I want to write it. Being a part of YTB has stirred up something very powerful within me. I’ve tasted success. I know what it means to set a goal and work for it. I know how very satisfying it feels to reach my goals. I have enjoyed the sweet taste of success thanks to YTB. It’s touching every area of my life and now I want more!

I want to share this feeling and the satisfaction of building wealth with others. I want to create something that will share the secrets of true success, help others to change the way they think, thus changing their lives in a profound and powerful way. So with that said, my first book will be done by January 1, 2008 thanks to God pouring blessings into my life through YTB. I also know that my business will blossom from this point on.

The name of my book is “Life Behind Invisible Bars”. Thanks to the inspiring story from Coach and the book, Shoot for the Stars, I asked myself why not write this book? There was nothing to lead me to believe that I shouldn’t. In fact, everything seems to indicate that I should. All the profits from the book will go to The Michigan Lupus Foundation of which I act as treasurer. I know the importance of making a decision and dealing with it. The foundation is officially known as the LNFMSF Foundation. It has been in existence for 5 years and it is growing. The year 2008 will be a breakout year for us at the LNFMSF (http://www.LatreeseFagan.org/) because I am speaking that over the foundation. There is power in that. I am also willing to put in the work and effort to make it a reality. My goal is to make Michigan’s Lupus Foundation a household name, raise funds for the foundation and to help countless lupus survivors in the process.

Who is this Brian McLane person and how is he growing his business so quickly?

Now that is an interesting question! As the CEO of AMM GROUP, INC, Brian has spent the past 7 years as an internet marketing consultant. QUARTER OF PROFITABILITY

Company Reports Record Revenues of $39.9 Million

WOOD RIVER, Ill., November 14, 2007 -- YTB International, Inc. (OTC PK: YTBLA) ("YTB" or the "Company"), a provider of Internet-based travel booking services for travel agencies and home-based independent representatives in the United States, today announced its financial results for the three and nine-month periods ended September 30, 2007.

Total revenue for the quarter ended September 30, 2007 increased 203.5% to $39.9 million compared to $13.1 million for the third quarter last year. Revenue generated from online travel store sales and monthly fees from Referring Travel Agents ("RTAs") in the third quarter of 2007 was $28.7 million, compared to $9.0 million in the third quarter of 2006. Revenue from travel agency commissions in the third quarter of 2007 was $5.5 million, compared to $2.0 million for the same period last year. Also, training programs and marketing materials revenue increased in the third quarter of 2007 to $3.7 million, from $1.5 million in the prior year quarter.

Net income for the third quarter of 2007 was $2.1 million, or $0.02 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of ($4.4) million, or ($0.05) per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2006.

Total revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 increased 207.6% to $95.9 million, compared to $31.2 million for the same period last year. Revenue generated from online travel store sales and monthly fees from RTAs for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 was $69.0 million, compared to $22.5 million for the same period in 2006. Revenue from travel agency commissions for the first nine months of 2007 was $13.9 million, compared to $5.1 million for the same period last year. Training programs and marketing materials revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 was $10.4 million, up from $2.9 million in the same period last year.

Net income for the nine months ended September 30, 2007 was $1.6 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, compared to a net loss of ($6.0) million, or ($0.07) per diluted share, for the same period in 2006.

"We are proud to report our second consecutive quarter of profitability and record revenue and net income figures of $39.9 million and $2.1 million respectively. This accomplishment was achieved despite certain one-time costs incurred during the period that are related to the continued expansion of our infrastructure in order to support our growing number of RTAs and to improve our services," stated Scott Tomer, Chief Executive Officer of YTB International. "In the first nine months of 2007 alone, we have doubled the size of our RTA network to more than 134,000 RTAs, and we see no signs of slowing down. Our success did not go unnoticed. I'm planning to spend my time in the coming blogs to discuss, in my opinion, the good and bad guys in the travel business especially the MLM companies, and the "card mills." This month we will concentrate on YTB. Keep in mind that the opinions shared are my own and not of any company or organization. I have researched the information provided, therefore, my comments are factual. Again, any opinions expressed are my own.

I don't know what it is about MLM companies and card mills that I like to write about. It's probably because I am the CEO of a nationally known Host Agency and am much closer to their activities than most. Most importantly, I never like people taking advantage of others for a profit unless both are on equal footing. MLM's have always been around and probably always will be. At least I will do my small part in bringing these people out from under their rocks.

You will need to know a little bit about YTB International and then we will get down to the good stuff.

YTB International, a public company since 2004 has a multi segmented business model and operates through three subsidiaries, YOUR TRAVEL BIZ.COM, YTB TRAVEL NETWORK INC and REZCONNECT TECHNOLOGIES INC.

YOUR TRAVEL BIZ is the marketing arm that establishes online travel agencies and compensates them via a multi-level commission structure. YTB TRAVEL NETWORK contracts with online travel agencies providing online booking systems, fulfills orders and pays commissions. REZCONNECT operates VACATION CENTRAL providing online booking engines and also franchises travel agencies such as in Wal-Mart stores. I understand that they have lost most of the Wal-Mart businesses. VACATION CENTRAL also claims to be a "Host Agency." If that is the truth than I'm the tooth fairy.

YTB and its subsidiaries are very controversial in the manner in which they do business and recruit consumers to sell travel as well as participate in their alleged pyramid schemes. They operate mostly outside the mainstream travel industry and are not members of the more notable travel organizations either by choice or simply due to ineligibility. YTB claims to have over 60,000 consumers signed up to which they have issued photo ID cards. I use the word consumer as opposed to travel agents because the vast majority of their base are naive consumers who constantly fall for their MLM skullduggery. To be fair, there is also a group of experienced and serious travel agents among the mix. Many of them are beginning to see the light and moving on. The others that hang in there like the possibilities that dual income potentials offer, but they are the ones who think they can become rich quickly. Like any MLM scheme, the ones at the top or the one who came in early are the only ones that stand a chance.

YTB and other similar companies are still courted by most of the travel suppliers. The reason is simple. Sell to whoever will buy your product. I can't blame them, I would probably do the same. I feel that many suppliers now see the advantage of a well trained travel agent and are now offering all kinds of resources to the serious travel agent. That is where the future lies and not filling up their fam trips with hobbyists seeking a cheap vacation. MLM and card mill members far outnumber the legitimate travel agent. We need to turn this around.

I have personally talked with YTB affiliates on the phone and at travel shows and have received mixed comments. My Host Agency and other Hosts regularly sign up the more serious YTB agents. Other YTB people live and die YTB. Trying to talk to these people is about as difficult as trying to talk someone into leaving a cult. They are totally brainwashed as this is the effect MLM companies leave with you. You just need to visit their chat rooms to see this. Others are confused and those are the ones who will ask me and others questions.

There are very few YTB agents making any money. MLM schemes have been around since the cave man and will be around until our world is gone. There have been a few successful and profitable MLM companies around such as Mary Kay and Amway but YTB is not one of them.

Here are a few facts about YTB you may want to know if you are contemplating becoming a follower.

* YTB has never made a profit since it started operations and has accumulated 14 million dollars in losses to date.

* YTB has not filed its financials for all of 2006 and to date.

* YTB has been de-listed from the O-T-C Bulletin and now shows on the so called "Pink Sheet" because it failed to file its financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

* YTB's stock has been on the rise lately due to its overzealous affiliates running up the stock price. YTB refers to these affiliates as "Gung Ho's." At the same time one of the corporate officers has been selling his stock.

* YTB revenues come mainly from selling business opportunities rather than from selling its core product; travel.

* YTB guarantees a minimum commission for recruiting even more participants.

* One of YTB's operators include a minister whose primary accomplishment is building a large church congregation.

* YTB's compensation program is tied to the promise to issue large blocks of stock at a set price much below today's market price.

In summary, multi-level marketing is not illegal. Most collapse because of potential abuses in the business structure that creates the condition of a Ponzi scheme. Many MLM companies collapse within 5 years. What are YTB's real numbers? Can YTB's current business model ever be profitable? Would regulators be concerned if YTB participants are being encouraged to form an affinity group to buy the stock? What are the legal and financial effects of promises of large blocks of below market stock into an MLM organization at $1.00 per share?

Consumers or potential travel agents looking at YTB and other MLM companies and card mills such as Pro-Travel, World Ventures, Travelwize, Coastal Vacation Club, Travelogia, VIP Travel Team and GTI should be careful and don't fall for the hype, gimmicks and high pressure tactics. If you are serious about travel seek out a reputable Host Agency and not one of these bums.

Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.

Well maybe you can’t run a sub 4 minute mile so what, but can you become a director Level 1 or even a director level 5 yes, why because it has been done. The difficult part has been done for you. In 1954 it was a supposed fact that no one would ever be able to run under a 4 minute mile, now that seems like a long time, but 50 years in the entire scheme of thing is very short. Well since Roger did it in 1954 over 20,000 additional individuals have done it since, including high school students, what changed gravity, no it’s just that once someone sees that is it possible it gives everyone the confidence that it can be done.
Well I know that within a short period of time I will become a director level 1 then level 2, level 3 then level 5 like Judy and Ron Head, or Bill and Anne Hoffman, they did it so it is possible, did it take hard work, did it take some sacrifices yes, but if you want it bad enough you will be willing to make the sacrifices necessary to make your dreams a reality. Think to yourself, what would you do if you had $100K a month coming in month after month, what would your life be like, well I have already decided the home I will buy the car I want, the Financial planner to help me manage the money. In life sometimes you have to speak success into existence, it is not that difficult, start by telling the ones closest to you, once that happens nature takes over, it’s in the universe that he or she has a commitment to do something different, if you just persist long enough you will succeed.
Most give up quit to fast, what if Russell Simmons of Def Jam gave up when things were not easy, at one time he was 5-7 million dollars in debt without a plan to get out, but he did not give up, he did not quit, he stood strong when others laughed. The same for Phat Pharm the powers to be in the clothing industry blew him off when he said he wanted to produce a line of clothes specifically for the Hip Hop world, it had never been done before, well the powers to be, the suits I call them with the Harvard MBA’s all said it will never work, well I did some research before writing this article and he and his empire did almost 800 Million in 2006. So much for the nay sayers, don’t worry if 0 people believe you will be a director, the only one that counts is you. Become thick skinned oblivious to criticism, you will be on your way. There is a very famous saying by Henry Ford If you think you can do a thing or think you can't do a thing, you're right. In closing I would like to ask all that think they can change their current situation, you have decided that enough is enough you need to give me a call, I am on my way to becoming a director at YTB and I want to take you along for the ride.

This is An Open Invitation to Help Me, Help

Is there a specific plan behind my writing? Is there a greater purpose in place? I am writing to find that inner voice inside of myself. My intention is to connect with that creative force within that creates best selling books and programs that will help people change their lives. I also want to help people help other people. Together we can change the entire world one person at a time. Writing is one of the tools that I have chosen to use toward that end. The goal is for me to become a better writer everyday. I want to become the best writer that I can possibly be in order to effectively communicate ideas, concepts and explain systems and success strategies. It takes practice, however, to become more than one might be. I'm up to it though. I have got to work at it day in and day out. It is a life-changing process to push myself in this way, but I know that to be able to change the lives of others, I must first change my own. And so on I push.

To build and accomplish great things in life, one must have a very motivating and powerful WHY--a reason that is so compelling that one can leap tall buildings in a single bound. What is my WHY? You would be correct to assume that to push myself in this way I would have to be divinely inspired. I am. The idea to write a book has come to me over the past couple of years. Over time the idea has turned into a dream and the dream has developed into a goal. Yes! I have finally disciplined myself and have taken the dynamic action required in order to make my goal into a reality. I diligently put my nose to the grindstone day in and day out to bring this goal to fruition. The fruits of my efforts are already evident and my vision of becoming a published author is well on its way.

I write with a very specific purpose in mind as write this message to you. You need to really hear me. There is much more at stake here than just my desire to become a published author. I ask now that you hang in here with me on this. It's very important. I ask that you push yourself beyond most people's typical attention span. Please focus on what I am communicating to you. We are all in need of assistance from time to time. I usually do not ask for help. Wait. Let me change that. While I seldom ask for any personal favors, I will ask and ask often for help for the Lupus Foundation of which I am the treasurer.

The Lupus Foundation serves a mighty purpose in this world. It exists solely for the many people who need help and perhaps cannot ask for themselves. I am truly honored to be able to ask for them. Help! The CDC reports that lupus affects an estimated 239,000 (conservatively) people in the United States. About nine out of 10 people who have lupus are women. Approximately one third of deaths occur among men and women younger than 45. During 1979-1998, the annual number of deaths from lupus rose from 879 to 1,406 and the crude death rate increased from 39 to 52 per million population, with a total of 22,861 deaths reported during this 20-year period. Help! Please recognize here and now that my life's mission is not solely focused on creating books or a brand for myself. There is a real purpose behind my plan. My goal is also to make Michigan's Lupus Foundation into a household name and help countless lupus survivors in the process.

Lupus must be combated. This can and will happen with your assistance. I am looking for individual and corporate sponsors to help me publish my book, Life Behind Invisible Bars. The total cost for development, production, marketing and advertising will be around 10K. This is a very modest figure considering what it takes within the scope of writing and publishing a book. What's more is that this is a book that will no doubt touch the hearts, minds and lives of people all over this country. All profits from the book will go directly to the Latreese Nicole Fagan Memorial Scholarship Foundation . This foundation came to be because of a loving, intelligent, beautiful, hard-working and ambitious young woman named Latreese Nicole Fagan. She was a lovely young woman and a beautiful spirit who has inspired the founders to build the Lupus Foundation as a memorial to her short but very meaningful life.

It will serve as a blueprint for success as it chronicles my own path through challenges, over obstacles, around problems, under barriers and on to success. This book will show every reader that there is absolutely nothing that can stop a person if he or she will just hold on and keep on keeping on—day in and day out. As Zig Ziglar puts it, "Failure is an event—not a person."

There will also be special bonus chapters included in the book that will feature the words of some extremely successful friends of mine who have graciously agreed to donate their expertise and knowledge of success systems and wealth attainment for this worthy cause. Trust me, these stellar individuals are at the top of their games. Black and Hispanic/Latina women tend to develop symptoms at an earlier age than other women. African Americans have more severe organ problems, especially with their kidneys. This book will not allow what is happening with lupus to be kept quiet any longer. Lupus will be exposed with this book.

This powerful book will also help current lupus survivors and their families to better understand the why, how and the 'what' of dealing with lupus. They will be able to read about what dealing with the disease has meant for other lupus patients and their loved ones. It will offer support, provide them with a way to reach out to one another and let them know that they are not alone. Life Behind Invisible Bars, will let lupus survivors and their families know that people really do care.

The Lupus Foundation has been a labor of love not only for myself but also due to the close nit relationship I was blessed to share with Latreese. She was my cousin, but Latreese was more like the sister that I never had. She was and is an angel in my life. Everyone who was fortunate enough to know Latreese will attest to the same. My dear mother and Latreese were far more than mere relatives. They were the best of friends. During the course of any given day, my mother would often pause and say, "I need to go and see how my Tricie is doing." Soon after she'd uttered the words my mother would be off to see Latreese. They shared a very special bond.

The ironic thing about my mother's and Latreese's relationship is that they passed away exactly one year apart from one another. Get this; they both passed away in the month of May. My mother was buried in May of 2000. Latreese passed away the following year in the month of May and on the very same day of the month. They are both my angels and this project is a labor of my undying love for them both. It is also a labor of my love for all of the beautiful hearts and souls out there that have been and will be affected by lupus. I want us to help those people. I know that my mother and Latreese would want us to help them. Will you help me help them?

This is the brief, touching story of J. Lloyd Tomer, a former pastor who was fired from his church in the early 1980s for busing in black children to his church. Now he's helping other "losers" who are sick and tired of losing.

Date August 10, 2006. Time: 2 a.m.
After driving all night thru clam-chowder fog, we finally saw St. Louis Arch. . . .Gateway to the West. Symbol of Opportunity. Silver monument of dreams-come-true. And we were going to be with at least 8,000 more sick and tired people at, off all places, The America's Center on Washington Street, downtown St. Louis. It was the right place. But little did we realize that this time, it was truly "our time."

But my husband Kenny and I, along with our soon-to-be-college graduate son Roger, were just like most Americans who've been kicked around by life. We thought dreams were for those who were born into it. We didn't believe that anyone really cared about people of color who wanted more out of life. . . .until we met this white 73 year old who has a 7 year old daughter. . . .and we affectionately call him "The Coach."

If J. Lloyd Tomer needs a book, then I'm going to ask him if I can write it. And in as few words as possible I'm going to tell you why.

J. Lloyd Tomer lost his wife to cancer when she was just 39 years old. His son Scott Tomer blamed God for 25 years until Scott's best friend lost a battle to cancer, but not before his dying friend introduced him to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Coach was a preacher who loved people, not just white people. An influential big wig in the church he ministered called Coach to the carpet so to speak, and said that there is no way he would allow any preacher, especially J. Lloyd Tomer, to bus in anybody's child that was darker than his own skintone.

In fact, Coach recalled the conversation well (for a man who looks like he's in his late 50s). He said this man told him, basically (paraphrase) "This is a church for white children, and if you keep bringing in (the n word, non-whites) they you won't have a job here anymore.

So, when Coach kept bringing in God's rainbow coalition, the promise was kept. He got fired.

The same year, he lost his wife to cancer. She was only 39. He lost all of his "white Christian" friends. He lost a WHOLE lot of money and made less than $11,000 that year. Yes, Coach needed a coach. He was depressed, but he did not give up. Even when his sons Frank and Scott gave up on him, Coach DID NOT GIVE UP!

That's the message of countless people in the Success at Home Magazine coming out the end of this year. I can't tell you the entire story about Juliet St. John, (page 98) a single mother sleeping in her car now making millions because of YTB; I can't tell you the full story about Kevin g-g-g-g-Giguere, (page 110) a former grocer store manager who commuted more than 100 miles one way to work, stocking shelves and bagging groceries who was a skeptic of YTB but after 10 months is making more than $100,000 a year with free full medical insurance and $100,000 FREE life insurance for his family.

Lots of people are unable to motivate themselves. They don't know how to move themselves into a position to succeed.

I believe that success starts with your attitude. You must be convinced that you will succeed! When you think that nothing can stop you, others will adopt your view. They will support you, jump on your bandwagon, and contribute to your success. They will give you help that they won't provide to people who don't believe in themselves.

One key is to learn to project a winning, confident attitude that inspires success.

Begin by working with your internal processes. For example, change the way you greet each day. Before you get out of bed, take a few moments to welcome the day. Think of the reasons why today can be special or important for your future. Say aloud to yourself, "What a great day!" Think about how you can make wonderful things happen.

As ideas flow through your mind, feel the enthusiasm that your positive attitude has generated and the smile on your face.

You'll be amazed at how energetic it will make you feel. That energy will carry you through the day and help you to be happier and more productive.

It is also critical to challenge yourself. I thrive on challenges -- on doing what others think cannot be done. I use challenges for self-motivation.

To me, the best challenges are the ones I give myself. At this point in my life, I don't need to impress anyone, but I still need to satisfy my own goals and become involved in things that excite me.

After Trump Tower was completed and hailed as such a rousing success, I knew it was just the beginning. I wanted more. I needed to become involved in larger-scale projects.

The lesson is to compete with yourself. Don’t be a one-hit wonder. After you succeed, find ways to surpass what you’ve already done. I am convinced that no matter what I do, I can always to something bigger and better.

Always try to reach new heights, with bigger and better results. Being satisfied can only undermine your future and keep you from reaching your potential.

People Make Mistakes all the time

So many people are afraid to make a mistake.

And if you are fearful of making a mistake-you are interfering
with the very process that will make you successful.

This is a strong point.

This is a very hard lesson for many people to learn.

Mistakes are not the end of the world; they're your opening to
a whole new world of existence.

I want you to think on the many things that used to be hard for
you but now they are easy.

Remember when throwing a football was hard.

Remember when braiding hair was hard.

Remember when reading and writing were hard.

Learning how to ride a bike was hard.

And you have forgotten about all of the things that were
extremely hard; like learning to roll over, to crawl, to stand,
to walk, to run, to get dressed, to feed yourself, etc, etc...

All of these things were once very, very difficult to achieve.
You struggled, you made a ton of mistakes. Yet you can do
them with ease now, right?

'Sho you Right.'

Do you know what this means?

It means that anything you want to learn, the same rules will
apply.

At first you'll make mistakes.

You will struggle.

Then you'll make fewer mistakes because the mistakes are
teaching you WHAT you need to know and what to do.

And if you pay close attention, the next thing that comes up
you'll be able to do that too.

It's really that simple.

But... But if you whine and complain and cry about your
mistakes, you'll never get anywhere. You'll begin to think
poorly about yourself and the only results you get will not
make you happy.

So don't fear mistakes. Use mistakes as your guide to

Carnival's Freed Expresses Support for All "Agents"

Carnival Cruise Lines' Vicki Freed said in her weblog that Carnival supports all travel agents that generate sales -- even those that others allege are members of so-called card mills. Freed, Carnival's senior vice president of sales and guest services, responded to a posting from a travel agent on the blog that questioned her apparent support of YTB International, which provides web-based services for travel sellers. Royal Caribbean International recently said it considers YTB a "card mill" and terminated contracts with the organization. Meanwhile, Freed's photo appears in a BizReport at www.ytb.com. The posting, from an agent identified only as "Heather," alleged that YTB is not in the travel business and only sells websites and secures reduced rate travel.

On her blog, Freed responded: "Your statement of YTB not being in the business of selling travel is interesting because our revenue production suggests differently. It has been published that they sold over $13 million of business with another cruise line and I can assure you that we also have millions of dollars in cruise revenue generated as well." Freed said she attended YTB's conference in early October and saw more than 1,000 attendees in each educational forum. "The desire to learn about the travel business was evident even after I spoke to the general session (over 6,000 attendees) when the CLIA instructor followed me on stage and taught niche marketing," Freed wrote. "No one left the room, and in fact, the overflow ballroom with big screens set up was packed as well. These folks paid for the conference, and there were no free meals or give-aways."

Freed also said she gained a different view of the YTB agents. "For the most part, they are not the traditional travel agent but a part-time agent that is focused in on being a Pied Piper for group business," she wrote. "They call themselves RTAs or Referring Travel Agents." Freed went on to discuss the differences between companies like YTB and host agencies. "I know the argument may be that an average sales-volume-per-member may not be that meaningful," she wrote. "But, truthfully, we have many of models in our database -- including traditional -- that are not solid producers. In fact 60 percent of our travel agencies produce less than 10 guests per year." This is An Open Invitation to Help Me, Help

Is there a specific plan behind my writing? Is there a greater purpose in place? I am writing to find that inner voice inside of myself. My intention is to connect with that creative force within that creates best selling books and programs that will help people change their lives. I also want to help people help other people. Together we can change the entire world one person at a time. Writing is one of the tools that I have chosen to use toward that end. The goal is for me to become a better writer everyday. I want to become the best writer that I can possibly be in order to effectively communicate ideas, concepts and explain systems and success strategies. It takes practice, however, to become more than one might be. I’m up to it though. I have got to work at it day in and day out. It is a life-changing process to push myself in this way, but I know that to be able to change the lives of others, I must first change my own. And so on I push.

To build and accomplish great things in life, one must have a very motivating and powerful WHY--a reason that is so compelling that one can leap tall buildings in a single bound. What is my WHY? You would be correct to assume that to push myself in this way I would have to be divinely inspired. I am. The idea to write a book has come to me over the past couple of years. Over time the idea has turned into a dream and the dream has developed into a goal. Yes! I have finally disciplined myself and have taken the dynamic action required in order to make my goal into a reality. I diligently put my nose to the grindstone day in and day out to bring this goal to fruition. The fruits of my efforts are already evident and my vision of becoming a published author is well on its way.

I write with a very specific purpose in mind as write this message to you. You need to really hear me. There is much more at stake here than just my desire to become a published author. I ask now that you hang in here with me on this. It’s very important. I ask that you push yourself beyond most people’s typical attention span. Please focus on what I am communicating to you. We are all in need of assistance from time to time. I usually do not ask for help. Wait. Let me change that. While I seldom ask for any personal favors, I will ask and ask often for help for the Lupus Foundation of which I am the treasurer.

The Lupus Foundation serves a mighty purpose in this world. It exists solely for the many people who need help and perhaps cannot ask for themselves. I am truly honored to be able to ask for them. Help! The CDC reports that lupus affects an estimated 239,000 (conservatively) people in the United States. About nine out of 10 people who have lupus are women. Approximately one third of deaths occur among men and women younger than 45. During 1979-1998, the annual number of deaths from lupus rose from 879 to 1,406 and the crude death rate increased from 39 to 52 per million population, with a total of 22,861 deaths reported during this 20-year period. Help! Please recognize here and now that my life’s mission is not solely focused on creating books or a brand for myself. There is a real purpose behind my plan. My goal is also to make Michigan’s Lupus Foundation into a household name and help countless lupus survivors in the process.

Lupus must be combated. This can and will happen with your assistance. I am looking for individual and corporate sponsors to help me publish my book, Life Behind Invisible Bars. The total cost for development, production, marketing and advertising will be around 10K. This is a very modest figure considering what it takes within the scope of writing and publishing a book. What’s more is that this is a book that will no doubt touch the hearts, minds and lives of people all over this country. All profits from the book will go directly to the Latreese Nicole Fagan Memorial Scholarship Foundation. This foundation came to be because of a loving, intelligent, beautiful, hard-working and ambitious young woman named Latreese Nicole Fagan. She was a lovely young woman and a beautiful spirit who has inspired the founders to build the Lupus Foundation as a memorial to her short but very meaningful life.

Life Behind Invisible Bars, will focus on helping people to achieve success despite the barriers or bars that surround and try to hold them back. This book will incorporate and bring together a body of important information, education, resources and unique features. It will serve as a blueprint for success as it chronicles my own path through challenges, over obstacles, around problems, under barriers and on to success. This book will show every reader that there is absolutely nothing that can stop a person if he or she will just hold on and keep on keeping on—day in and day out. As Zig Ziglar puts it, “Failure is an event—not a person.”

There will also be special bonus chapters included in the book that will feature the words of some extremely successful friends of mine who have graciously agreed to donate their expertise and knowledge of success systems and wealth attainment for this worthy cause. Trust me, these stellar individuals are at the top of their games. An hour consultation with any one of them would run into the thousands of dollars because, the information, insight and advice that they have to share is the STUFF of dreams and true transformation. Every reader will be able to take something solid and life altering from this book. It will change lives!

In addition to the bonus chapters provided by my exemplary friends, there will be the poignant story of how The Latreese Nicole Fagan Scholarship Fund was created. Make no mistake, this is an important story that desperately needs to be told because, as quiet as it is kept, the death rate among African American women ages 45-64 years has increased seventy five percent (75%), and more than one-third of all deaths from SLE occurred among persons less than forty-five (45) years of age. Lupus is three times more common in black women than in white women. It is also more common in women of Hispanic/Latina, Asian, and American Indian descent. Black and Hispanic/Latina women tend to develop symptoms at an earlier age than other women. African Americans have more severe organ problems, especially with their kidneys. This book will not allow what is happening with lupus to be kept quiet any longer. Lupus will be exposed with this book.

This powerful book will also help current lupus survivors and their families to better understand the why, how and the ‘what’ of dealing with lupus. They will be able to read about what dealing with the disease has meant for other lupus patients and their loved ones. It will offer support, provide them with a way to reach out to one another and let them know that they are not alone. Life Behind Invisible Bars, will let lupus survivors and their families know that people really do care.

The Lupus Foundation has been a labor of love not only for myself but also due to the close nit relationship I was blessed to share with Latreese. She was my cousin, but Latreese was more like the sister that I never had. She was and is an angel in my life. Everyone who was fortunate enough to know Latreese will attest to the same. My dear mother and Latreese were far more than mere relatives. They were the best of friends. During the course of any given day, my mother would often pause and say, “I need to go and see how my Tricie is doing.” Soon after she’d uttered the words my mother would be off to see Latreese. They shared a very special bond.

The ironic thing about my mother’s and Latreese’s relationship is that they passed away exactly one year apart from one another. Get this; they both passed away in the month of May. My mother was buried in May of 2000. Latreese passed away the following year in the month of May and on the very same day of the month. They are both my angels and this project is a labor of my undying love for them both. It is also a labor of my love for all of the beautiful hearts and souls out there that have been and will be affected by lupus. I want us to help those people. I know that my mother and Latreese would want us to help them. Will you help me help them?

We need funding to fight lupus. It’s that plain. It’s that simple. When I look within my heart I see a vision of Latreese and what this foundation is doing to honor her memory by helping other lupus survivors. I know that she would be so pleased that we are helping people with lupus through scholarships, education and information. She was a very hard-working student and studied throughout her life to excel academically. There are many young women appreciate Latreese who would like the same opportunity to succeed. So please find it is your heart to assist us with this very worthy project to fund The Lupus Foundation here in Michigan. There are NO paid employees and there is NO compensation for meetings—well, sometimes we do get some great chicken wings during our monthly meetings. Seriously, it is a labor of love for everyone involved.

This project will happen. This is your opportunity to be a part of something that will affect the lives of thousands of patients suffering from this excruciatingly debilitating disease. Are the people affected and who will be affected with lupus worth the effort and concern? Do you feel that more people should know about lupus? Can you see how much good a project like this will do? The deadline for this book is January 1,2008. Time is short. We know that in life it is better to give than to receive. What we work to manifest through God, here and now with this book, will continue to grow long after you and I have passed away. That’s just how POWERFUL this is.

How Residual Income Can Make You Happier

Residual income (also called passive or recurring income) is income that continues to be generated after the initial effort has been expended. Compare this to what most people focus on earning: linear income, which is "one-shot" compensation or payment in the form of a fee, wage, commission or salary.
Let’s say that you could today and have $2000.00-$3000.00 a month coming in consistently without you having to go to that dreaded JOB (Just over Broke) anymore. I can see you getting happier already. Well I know many individual that have this coming in month after month, not having to go to the dreaded JOB anymore, there should be something in your life that is more important than just waking up going to one particular spot day in day out. The auto industry and all other major corporations use the same tactics, become proficient at said job and we will reward you with a small raise, one that you can barely feel in your paychecks, some medical insurance that can be purchase by anyone,(given freely when you obtain a certain amount of stores with this company), but it is the package that keeps you under control. Now they put the clincher on it, where you actually go and brag about how much better you package is over some other package a different company gave someone else. The kicker is that you have to work 30 years to get the entire package.
What if there was a way a proven model than can take 25-28 years off the struggle what would you say, would you be open to see it. You need to remember that you could have been the best employee in the world and for some reason before you reach this magical 30 years stint, you make some mistakes, things happen, you get downsized due to a robot being able to do it better and more efficiently, you loose that great package, now what, you have to start it all over again. Why let someone have that much control over you.
This is the information age and things are changing rapidly, so be aware that what you did yesterday is already outdated. Build Your Personal Brand

"Your brand is created out of customer contact and the experience your customers have of you."

What's your brand, what is it when people think of you would be the first thing that comes out of there mouth. In the past I used to get mad when people would say things like Darrick you are consumed with money, you eat, sleep, drink and understand money better than most people I know. Well unknown to myself I created my brand. The brand, I created was around the knowledge of money, all my businesses have been established around money and things associated with it. What's your brand, think about it, and ask yourself some difficult question, it may not be as easy as you think. Here's a very easy exercise to do, ask 5-10 of your closest friends, and associates, or employer, family may not be the best avenue, because you need people to be honest. If you are truly a knucklehead, Mom and Dad may not tell you the truth.

Some Example question

· When you think of me what would be the first thing that comes to mind

· What is it that you see as my attributes, strengths, or Gifts

· Do I seem trustworthy, If so would you do business with me in said field

When you ask the question be forthright and tell them not to spare your feelings. It was difficult for me to ask that question, I was afraid of the response. As I stated earlier the one common answer I heard first was about money, the hard part came when people began to criticize or pointing out your flaws. The one that was almost as common as my pursuit of money would be, my follow up or lack of follow through. It stings at first, but when I thought about it, I took it as a compliment. I see that I have people who see me as an oasis of knowledge in one area, but a severe weakness in another. After getting over the shock that people would tell me that (HA HA), I put together a plan to improve on my short comings. It was relatively easy when I identified my problem; I put it as one of my goals. Finish what I start, if I can't let people know I either can't or will not be able to fulfill said task. It was amazing what happened, instead of me having to go back and ask the people, was I improving; they came to me and said it.

The question know most have, why should I worry about my brand, think about the most successful person you know, when you think about him/her what would be the first thing you think about. For example purposes I would like to highlight a few very successful individuals I know. Both happen to be in the business I am currently involved in. The first gentlemen I would like to talk about would be Nakia Muhammad, he is a man of integrity, people don't under estimate this characteristic, when I mention his name most people hold him in very high regard impeccable reputation, another gentlemen I would like to talk about would be Marcus Murray, for all who do not know him he is a very extraordinary individual as well. If you ask the same question about Marcus, it would be first and foremost his desire to excel at his profession, or if he is involved it must be OK. Now to the part that involve you, how can Nakia, or Marcus brand assist me. In life you can either be a pioneer or have to go through all growing pains of being the first, or you can go the less traveled route and find someone of impeccable character, successful in whatever it is you want to be successful in and imitate or follow. Most successful individuals do not have trouble telling you the keys to his/her success. Life becomes easier when you have a plan to follow.

Can Everyone Lead
This is a great question for everyone to ask them selves. Hopefully the answer will be a resounding YES, that you have the unique ability to lead, so what next. What areas can you improve on, what can be done better, more efficiently, you get the point. Usually I use myself as an example, without a doubt I know I have the ability to lead, it is something that I never really wanted, somehow through OSMOSIS I usually was labeled to lead in most areas other than Sports. That is a different story all together, the one place where I wanted to lead, my athletic ability did not warrant me leading. Initially I became distraught, since I so wanted to excel and lead in the sports field. Find your area of leadership; mine was more in the business arena, than it was in the athletic field. Find your area of expertise, brand yourself as an expert and people will naturally follow, you will not have to ask.
At first I rebelled against having the moniker of leader, decision maker, but now I relish the ideal of leading. All that said and out of the way, how can I improve as a leader, what areas of leadership can I improve on. Through some harsh critics of my leadership ability I found that my follow up and follow through can be significantly improved. Most of my problems came simply from me over-promising, and under delivering on my promises. Easily fixed most would say, it is if you want to take yourself to the next level. If we are honest with ourselves we know we have these short comings, but we fail to change, we continue to do just enough, well what if you did more than enough what would happen then. I know that if I did just what was expected of me I would be in a lot better situation, sometimes I do and sometimes I do not, but my commitment to all that read this, expect more from not only me but all that come into contact with you and you will see a remarkable improvement in all aspects of your life. Expect the best and it magically happens, no doubts, no reservations, just confidence that whatever it is that you expect should manifest itself.
If not why, what characteristic do I not possess t o make people want to follow me. I hear stories like leaders are born, they have the IT factor, that I do not posses. The IT factor can be obtained through careful study of someone who has the IT factor. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery, I will be honest most of my antidotes, responses are not original, somewhere someone else I listened to or studied, have said it first and probably 10 times better, but that has not stopped me from leading 4 different companies, leading seminars to groups of well over 500. At first, I was afraid, but I did it anyway, dry mouth and all. Here’s a famous quote by Mark Twain “Do the thing you fear most and the death of fear is certain. ... Courage is resistance to fear” Stop living in fear, take charge of your life and live it full throttle, stop putting limitations on yourself, try it I talk to people all the time that just put people on a pedestal, like what they are doing can’t be duplicated. Most people are copy cats anyway, think about it if you watch TV all the News Show are the same, now with the advent of reality show they are the same, there really isn’t much under the sun that has not been done before. Acknowledge your fears and do it anyway. I read a quote by Henry Ford founder of Ford Motor, “One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn't do”.

Well before I get to into my post let me clarify what I mean by its O K to fail. I have read a lot of books on successful individuals like Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, and other notable leaders. The one thing I find on a consistent basis is that most have had a serious failure or two in there past. When I talk about what Donald Trump said in one of his books or his hit TV show everyone agrees and nods there head, when it comes to the success he has had, but when it comes to failure, like the 1Billion dollars he was personally on the hook for in the late 80’s to the early 90’s, most say they would not be able to deal with it. Mr. Trump made a saying famous in the early 90’s, If I can Survive until 95 I’ll be OK. Remember without risk there is no grand reward that can be achieved. Be careful, calculate your risk, Donald failed not because he was not well prepared; he failed due to the market taking a drastic change during this period. It is well documented about the failures of Mr. Rich Dad/Poor Dad fame, he had if I am not mistaken 3-4 failed businesses, I recently watched (High Net Worth on CNBC at 11:00 PM on Sundays) and they conservatively estimate he is worth between 50-75 Million and growing. I am not certain but I do not think his past failures hurt him too much.

For all aspiring Entrepreneurs, High Net Worth is a must see for Future Millionaires, it amazes me the amount of money that can be made or has been made by ordinary people like you and me. For every great deal these guys have had they can probably tell you about 2 that went south. Not because they are not very good at what they do, it is just the nature of business and success. You literally fail your way to success. Think back to your earliest memories of things you tried, riding a bike, playing sports, certain parts of School, you probably made mistakes, but you did not get down on yourself and say, since I did not keep my balance the first time I rode my bike, or didn't catch the ball that my dad threw me I going to give up. In most cases you figure out what you did not do the previous time and then you try something different and in no time at all you, you are riding a bike, catching the ball every time your dad throws it to you. This may be a little to simplistic of an example but it gets the point across I am trying to make.

Failing is OK if you learn from it, its insanity if you do not. That’s the difference between those who succeed beyond most of our wildest dreams, and those who never go anywhere, what’s the biggest difference. In most cases, it’s not because you have not thought it out, done your research, it is getting over your fear of failure or immediate gratification. Success takes time, figure out what it is that you want to do, plan it out, then take action, remember throughout the process you may fail initially, analyze that failure and try to make sure you do not make the same mistake again. The reason for this post would be that I see people daily in my profession that just won’t see the writing on the wall. I have been in an industry that has been literally decimated by the onslaught of Foreclosures. When you have over 90 banks that just close never to be heard from again, it is serious. I discuss possible alternatives, but that is a bad thing. Most are having severe financial struggles, but when you offer a different point of view know one is interested. It is as if change is a bad thing, this is the information age, things change very rapidly, you can either roll with the punches or wonder what happen or be proactive and make things happen. Which one are you?
From the aptly named title of this post, what’s the insanity in your life that you can see the writing on the wall but for some reason you force yourself not to adhere to. Is it a bad marriage that you are in, I hear couples that come into my office daily and I look at them and wonder why they are together? Neither one really can stand each other. The funny part to me is that when you make suggestions to try to make a bad situation better, that is prying. Somehow they feel they are better together than apart, for what, are they really making each other better, probably not who am I to judge. Or maybe it is a dead end job that has no future for advancement, but they continue to faithfully go to that dead end job dreading it from the time they wake up, until the time clock goes off to leave. I mean complaining, and regretting having to go to this hell hole of job I have.
In polite conversation I always ask is someone making you go to that hell hole, there is a but that I always hear. I would try something else, but I am to busy, not enough time, I never did well in school, it pays well, I have been here to long, to old, I have truly heard them all. That’s there insanity what’s yours. As kids we are free of inhibitions, when we are young we truly feel we can be that football star we see on TV, Actor, Lawyer, Doctor, or whatever it is that we see and can put our lips to say. Take a few minutes to see what’s your insanity program, you did not get good grades in school, and I’m married I have too much responsibility. Life Behind Invisible Bars

Life is filled with barriers that normally can stop most people in there tracks. I do a lot of consulting in my businesses. I operate a Mortgage Company, Tax and Accounting Practice and Small Home Improvement Company. So I get my fair share of people to see where most people have invisible bars installed in there minds. In my case my invisible bars were numerous and very real to me. Mine all came from self imposed limitations I put on myself, I was not tall enough, I did not have the best grammar, I was black, would anyone would take someone serious that wore hats all the time. Well I am living proof that most of your Invisible bars are just that invisible to you and the world. Take time after reading this to analyze what invisible bars you have imagined.

The most frequently ones I hear are

· Man I could never run my own business, I could never do what you do
· I get nervous talking to a lot of people, I have stage fright
· I could never take a chance and do what you did
· The best one for last, but man you are different it comes easy for you

For all that may not know I have had all the same doubts, fears, and concerns, but I persevered through all of my fears. Why, you might ask, I was more of afraid of not doing anything. I know that I am not the only one that have worked in environments where you felt your superiors were not superior to you in any way, or that in blunt words were idiots. Well one too many inferior managers/ supervisors told me what to do and I finally had it. I made up in my mind that if they could do it I could do it 10 times better. This was the start of my insatiable appetite to be in change that I was, my gut told me that I could be the one in charge, could be the one making the decision, be the one to lead and not be left behind.

This is very important for all you that are afraid of taking unknown risk. Take the risk, but be prepared do your homework. Poor preparation leads to poor performance in most cases, be prepared for success. Success is a science, not something that happens to a select few by accident. Look for success and it can happen to you. This is for all those on the fence about change, it can happen to you in a matter of minutes, or over time, the key is to first believe and then change will happen.

In closing I would like to add that as I have stated earlier in my letter I have started a few businesses in my time and I know when I see a good one. I am not one to follow many, but the people and the clear vision YTB has in place is exciting. It is hard for me to keep my enthusiasm under raps in most cases. I know, not think, I know that with a couple years of hard work, I can have the freedom I have longed for, you can too, if you just open yourself to the opportunity that is in front of you.

A Day in Your Life

Went to a meeting today in Dearborn given by Power Team Leader
Sam Baydoun and Nakia Muhammad. From attending the meeting, I got pumped
and excited about what is possible from this company. I mean the enthusiasm that Nakia Muhammad had describing the life changing income some of the directors at YTB are earning.
Think about what you would do if you earned $500,000 in a calendar year. How it could literally change your life. The ability to truly do and go where you wanted to go. Not having to ask for permission, Alleviating the question, where most vacations are dictated by what you can afford. Well what if price wasn't the determining factor, where would you go. Well that has happened to numerous YTB directors. I mean very ordinary people earning extraordinary incomes. The descriptive way he explains how an ordinary couple found the WHY and went from having 5 people in their group to within 12 months having over 2100 people in their down line in the same 12 months that we all had, the same 24 hours in a day, the same 60 minutes in a hour.
What are you doing with your 24 hour days? If we are honest, we are not taking full advantage of the same 24 hours we all have. Nature dictates we need some sleep so a 1/3 of the 24 is used by all. So let's just talk about the balance of the day we can all safely say we have. How much time each day do we take to dream about what you really want out of life. Some dream to much, with no action taken toward your dream, or if action is taken it is done half-heatedly. Lets take action, lets make our dreams a reality. Your dreams can come true if you take positive action toward your dream. Take a moment of your time and write down what you would do if work, making money, limited time was not the most important thing in your life. If you had the money and the time what would you do. This is a very constructive exercise for us all to take. One last thing to ponder. What if, the if I could , should of, or regrets were taken away. How happy or free would you be.
In closing lets take action with our lives, let's leave the could of, in the past and replace it with I did or I have.

Life is Short So What are You Going to Do about it?
I am writing this to everyone to see if they really understand how short life is. I was reading a poem about the Dash. Simply put, it asks a very important question, what happens from the time you were born to the time perish. I can honestly say that as of today, not much. I have made money, lost money, been happy, and sad. But really what have I done, not much as I stated earlier. Why because most of time I am chasing that almighty dollar. For what, to be happy, to help other people, to make a difference in society. Well ask yourself are you helping yourself. Are you financially able to enjoy your life the way you thought you would. If not what are you going to do about it. I know it may seem as if this may be to get you to join YTB, well it is not. It is just for you take a good inventory of where you are right now, today. Are you where you want to be, if not what are you going to do about it. Tomorrow waits on no one, August 18th at 9:00 will never come again. So I have made up in my mind that I will go full out, give it my all and see where the cards may fall. I ask everyone to try it for just a little while, give life everything for a short period and see the difference it will make. Stop making excuses for your failures, take ownership, learn and improve. Let’s give ourselves the opportunity for change, change is not always bad, be open to it, embrace it.
